Tested: Satechi’s aluminum and tempered glass Find My wallet card is the most gorgeous model you can buy

Satechi FindAll Card-Find My review-hero

Satechi recently expanded its collection of FindAll accessories with its new Find My-equipped Keychain, Luggage Tag, Glasses Case, and the wallet Card we are taking a closer look at today. The brand’s Find My passport holder was hit around here last year – it has remained my go-to solution ever since – and I have high hopes for the new Satechi FindAll Card too. Head below for my hands-ion impressions.

Review: Satechi FindAll Card

The new Satechi FindAll Card comes in three colors – Black, Desert Rose, and Sand – with a $34.99 list price.

Features at a glance:

  • Wireless Charging
  • Find My Compatibility
  • Connection range of 10-20 meters indoors and 20-50 meters outdoors
  • Credit card-sized profile
  • Crafted from a blend of aluminum and tempered glass

Well, this certainly isn’t the first Find My wallet card tracker we have featured around here, and it likely won’t be the last. But this model has quickly shot up to the top of the list of the best out there for me. It, among options like the Nomad Tracking Card, have thus far been the best card-style trackers around, complete with Apple Find My and the features it typically comes with.

Both models are largely the same in terms of functionality, delivering the usual Find My tracking tech, Left Behind notifications, and onboard speaker for manually triggering a chime in order to help track it down when near by. This model also has that one, at least for me, must-have feature – wireless charging.

All of that puts this new Satechi FindAll Card on par with the best of them in the feature list, Nomad included, but where does it differ?

Well firstly, it’s touch more pricey ($5 more) than the other major third-party Apple gear brands that deliver models with wireless charging, but it’s really all about the build here.

In many ways, and with all that said, once you have seen one of these tracking cards, you have seen them all. The real differentiating factor on the Satechi model is the build. And more specifically the finish.

The sleek all-black FindAll Card is one of the most attractive models I have gone hands-on with. Whereas the Nomad variant makes use of a slightly textured matte finish, Satechi has gone entirely smooth and shiny – it is crafted from a blend of aluminum and tempered glass.

I very much like this glass finish – there’s just something sort of high-end and premium about the look of it, but it’s not all good here. One might argue that it is much more slippery than some of the others out there, and this is, to some degree, true, but that doesn’t bother me at all. The thing that does rub me the wrong way is the the finger prints that show up on it when I rub the card the wrong way. It’s not terrible, and not overly noticeable out in the real world, but I could not take a picture of it for this review with carefully polishing it off with a cloth. Just saying.

The glass-like black finish, I’m happy to report, is adorned with extremely subtle branding and iconography. There is some “Satechi” lettering on the front, and a lightning icon on the back to indicate the wireless charging, and a few other small things, but it is all barely noticeable, leaving you with a super slick and clean card to slide into your wallet.

As for the size, we are in good shape here. It is the smallest amount thicker than some of the models I have tested, but we are only talking about a millimeter or so here – barely noticeable.

In terms functionality and charging action, everything has worked perfectly for me – if you have setup and used any third-party Find My gear on your iPhone, you’ll know exactly what you’re in for here. And same goes for the wireless charging – you just drop it on any Qi pad you already have laying around, and you’re ready to roll – the battery lasts for roughly 8 months at a time, according to Satechi, so you won’t need to worry about this very often anyway.

In the end, and as far as deciding which brand’s card to go with or not, it’s really all about the price and build/finish here – it works just as good or better than anything else out there. I wish it was $29.99 and not $34.99, but considering the higher-end finish and build here, I can live with this. And if you like this shiny glass vibe, there’s really not a better option out there in my opinion.
